At Doddridge Associates, Inc., we combine modern technology with old world craftsmanship. We strongly believe that technology should be utilized to provide not only a quality building project but convenience and reassurance to our customers as well. Since virtually all our clients live elsewhere, we use the internet to send communications, digital images and video clips to our clients to keep them up to date on their building project. We also use the internet to allow our customers to choose many of the products that are installed in their homes.

We have developed a building product website listing, available here on our website, of literally hundreds of building materials and products. Our clients can go to our website at any time and click on “building products” to gain access to links to many building product manufacturers' websites. This provides our clients the opportunity to save time and money by being able to choose specialized building products without having to make trips to Cape Cod.

Our clients can view the status of their project on-line at a specially designed construction management website called BuildStar.Com. By utilizing this service our clients can; view their estimate, specifications, updated construction schedule, updated budget v. estimated cost comparison, updated photographs of their project and more. To further understand the value of this service, please go to our home page and click on “client access”. This will bring you to the sign-in page of BuildStar.Com. Enter “client” as your user name and “build” as your password. The project you will view is a sample project. Please feel free to navigate around the site as you wish to gain a further understanding as to the progressiveness and value of this service.

We believe that competition is a very healthy thing. As such, we also believe that any building project, regardless of its size, style or price range, should result in an excellent value. With this in mind, we have developed a very unique method of doing business with our subcontractors, suppliers and clients.

Our “Project Management Program” allows our clients to save thousands of dollars without sacrificing quality in materials and craftsmanship. Since 1990 we have successfully developed and utilized this program to gain a significant advantage over our competitors while providing an excellent value to our clients. By utilizing this unique business methodology, our clients enjoy the following significant advantages;

•  Contractor prices for all labor and materials

•  Contractor discounts on building materials, amounting to literally thousands of dollars in savings

•  Payment for the actual cost of each line item, rather than the estimated cost. This alone has previously saved our clients literally thousands of dollars

•  Low overhead and a small staff allow us to pass that savings along to our clients.

•  Excellent craftsmanship, consistency and attention to detail by employing some of Cape Cod's finest trades people, with whom we've established long term business relationships.

•  Low disbursement of cash upon signing a contract, as opposed to other custom builders who may require 10% to 20% of the contract amount as a down payment.

•  Reassurance that each disbursement from our clients is going directly to the subcontractor or supplier providing labor and materials for their project.

•  Fixed Project Management fee, which is based primarily on the scope of the project rather than the cost. Change orders and allowance overruns are not subjected to an extra fee rather, our clients only pay the actual cost.

•  Open book policy by sharing all estimates, costs, quotes etc. with our clients allowing them to have a higher level of participation in their project.
